Piazza Manfredo Fanti 42 Int.11, Central Station, 00185 Rome
On our first night in Rome, we stayed at Affittacamere Fanti (booked via booking.com for Euro50 for 1 night + Euro 2 city tax/person/night), which is walking distance from Roma Termini station. This was a last minute change in our itinerary upon visa application. We need to have more number of nights in Italy to be able to continue our application at the Italian Embassy. Initially, we have same number of nights in Spain and Italy. However, if we continue with that itinerary, we need to apply at the Spanish Embassy (we would be there first) or French Embassy (point of entry). Since our documents have already been tailored for the Schengen visa application at the Italian Embassy, we adjusted our itinerary.
We had some difficulty finding the address in the booking. It's a bit dark and not all streets have their street names at the corner. It might also be due to me not paying much attention to the directions given by the B&B. We were also apprehensive while looking for the B&B due to some "hostile"-looking strangers at the streets.
Alas, we found the address. Just like some hostels, it's housed on a building with some other rooms in it. The door opened even before we pressed on the doorbell. It seems the manager is already waiting for us (we informed them of our flight). However, the room where we will be staying isn't on that building. We had to walk another block for it. We were given one of the rooms in a 3-bedroom apartment (with private bath). There's a shared kitchen but we hadn't explored much of the facilities (of course there's wi-fi) since we got in late and left 10AM the following day. We even forgot to take pictures of the room.

Note: Please try opening the door to the main room before the manager leaves, this is a bit tricky.
Breakfast is at Gran Caffe Maggiore, a few blocks away from our accommodation, just across the street from Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. It's a set breakfast with coffee and 2 slices of bread.
