San Peter Angels
Via Germanico 54, Vatican City - Prati, 00192 Rome

After breakfast, we checked out from Affitacamere Fanti and proceeded to the address specified at our booking for San Peter Angels (reserved via booking.com at Euro 243 for 3 nights + Euro 2 city tax/person/night).  We took the metro to Ottaviano San Pietro and walked to Via Germanico.  I've forgotten to inform the B&B of the time of our arrival so we had to wait for the "manager".  It turned out the address in the reservation is just a pick-up point.  I had to make a call to inform the B&B that we're already at the address.  After about 1.5-2 hours of waiting (yes, it took that long), somebody came to pick us up.  We had some issue with communication as he doesn't speak English (ok, maybe a bit) but we managed to get bits and pieces of what he meant.

We rode in his car and were driven to a different location.  Now, instead of staying on the right side of Vatican (when facing St. Peter's Basilica), we're now on the left side.  It was ok though as it's still a short walk from St. Peter's Square.

Our booking was for a triple room (we're supposed to be 3 but one friend decided to just join us after our Italy trip since she has already been there) with shared bathroom.  We were [a bit] surprised when we were led to a one-bedroom apartment (on the ground floor of the building) that we can have for ourselves.  The bedroom sleeps 2 and another one in the extra bed in the living room.  Great!  We got all the facilities of an apartment (television, oven, gas range, washing machine, dish washer, flat iron, cleaning aids) as well as free wi-fi.  The location is near Roma San Pietro station with Carrefour, fruit stand, some restaurants and souvenir shops within a few meters away.

That night, Claudio (our host) went back to bring us our breakfast for the duration of our stay.  It includes 3 packs of milk (about 500ml pack), 6 packs of orange juice (personal size), 2 types of bread (x 2 persons x 3 nights) and biscotti.  He had an interpreter with him so it was easier to communicate.

Check out time is 10AM and we just need to leave the keys on the dining table before leaving.  Since it is an apartment, it does not have luggage storage so we had to pay for luggage storage at Roma Termini before attending Palm Sunday mass.
